Bio

Ju Wenjun first won the title from Tan Zhongyi in May 2018 and has remained champion through tournament, knockout, and match formats.

She defended the crown later in 2018, won again in 2020, defeated Lei Tingjie in 2023, and retained the title against Tan Zhongyi in 2025. That run makes her one of the most successful champions in the history of the women's title.

Ju's chess is calm, flexible, and hard to destabilize. She can play long technical games, defend worse positions, and switch to tactics when the moment arrives.

Style

Universal, composed, and technically reliable.

Legacy

Ju Wenjun is the current champion and the central figure of the latest Chinese title era.
