Stockfish
IgniteChess uses Stockfish for browser-based analysis and engine-driven play features, including review panels and practice modes where the engine calculates or replies to moves.
Stockfish is open source chess engine software. IgniteChess attributes Stockfish to the Stockfish project and its contributors, and we are grateful to the Stockfish team and community for making that work publicly available.
The self-hosted browser engine bundle shipped by IgniteChess is based on Stockfish.js and the Stockfish project. You can review the upstream projects and licensing information here:
Lichess Puzzle Data
IgniteChess uses chess puzzle data and puzzle identifiers derived from Lichess puzzle content in order to power training sets, puzzle modes, and related solving flows across the site.
We attribute that puzzle source material to Lichess, and we are thankful to Lichess for supporting open chess tools and data resources that make projects like IgniteChess possible.
