Carl Schlechter faced Lasker in a ten-game World Championship match split between Vienna and Berlin. Historical accounts disagree about some of the title conditions; this article does not assume that a disputed two-point winning margin was an established rule.

Schlechter won game 5 and carried his lead into the final round. Lasker won game 10 to level the match at 5–5 and retain the title. The other eight games were drawn.

All 10 played games appear below in match order. The game records preserve the archive’s player names, round numbers and dates, including unknown date components.
