What is the Dutch Defence Classical Variation?
The Classical Dutch develops the bishop on e7 and supports a future ...e5 break with ...d6. Black keeps a flexible centre and directs pieces toward the kingside.
White's pressure on e6 and the long diagonal makes move order important. Black succeeds by completing development before committing to an attack.
