II Lince Andujar Chess Festival 2026

The official event name is Lince Andujar Chess Open Jaen Paraiso Interior, organized by Club Ajedrez Andujar. The tournament is played at Iglesia de Santa Marina, a cultural venue at Avenida Doce de Agosto 15, 23740 Andujar, Jaen.

The schedule starts with double rounds on 27 June and 28 June at 10:00 and 17:00, then continues with one round per day: Round 5 on 29 June, Round 6 on 30 June, Round 7 on 1 July, Round 8 on 2 July, and Round 9 on 3 July at 10:00.

The event is valid for FIDE Standard rating and FADA rating, with the possibility of international title norms when requirements are met. The chief arbiter is Eduardo Lopez Rodriguez, the deputy arbiter is Ramona Penas Merino, the director is Jose Miguel Ortega Ruiz, and the organizer is Francisco Javier Ruiz Casado.

The top 12 boards are broadcast live, and the tiebreak order is Buchholz -1, total Buchholz, number of rounds chosen to play, average perfect performance of opponents, and drawing of lots if needed.

The festival builds on a first edition that drew more than 200 participants and companions from 26 nationalities, produced IM and GM norms, and now offers a 2026 prize table headed by a 4,000 euro first prize.
